Hello world

That was the suggested title for my maiden blog post – amazing! I have met with so many entrepreneurs over the years, and always been astonished by their drive, devotion and passion. Not until now did I really understand the inner power generated when creating something on your own. Fall 2023, I created Global Heart Leaders.

I will be honest, I have been quite content and safe in a big cooperation. Salary every month, a nice big brand that supports you and opens doors for you. But still, I needed to shake things up. I decided end June 2023 to resign from my CEO position at The Swedish Academy of Board of Directors in Stockholm after 5 successful years.

Has this bold move been smooth sailing? Absolutely not. This is not the first time I resign without a plan. I did that when I left as CEO of a TV-station in Ghana. Heck, I even did it after a few successful years as the first ever female CEO of a professional ice hockey team in the top league in Sweden. But this time it has been different, I am actually scared. Terrified even! But I have not changed my mind. It is time for me to spread my wings. I dont have a business model for my new enterprise Global Heart Leaders yet. All I know is that I want to mobilize compassionate leaders for a better tomorrow.

The type of leadership that got us here today, will not be the leadership style that will take us out of this situation (war, geopolitical tensions, climate change etc). Definitely not the leadership style that will take us to the next level and beyond.

My leadership philosophy is simple. You can be kind, emphatic and successful at the same time. We have one planet, why can’t we just realise this and create a world of peace, respect and unity?

My dream is to start a community, a movement of likeminded people that shares my vision, to really create positive change in the world. Whether it is a team of likeminded people in full employed capacity, or a team of leaders that has the mission as hobby on their free time because they think it is important? Both are equally essential as we need boots on the ground. We need to assemble the masses to create sustainable change world wide.
